Ghana 1000 Project

Sage to provide management and logistics for importation and storage of LNG

One Energy is the Ghanaian entity owned by Ghana 1000 Project Sponsors, Sage Petroleum, General Electric (GE), Endeavor Energy and Eranove.

GGhana 1000 Project is an initiative to develop, construct and operate over 1000 MW of gas generated power in Aboadze, Takoradi. The Project will also provide a source of gas to the area, imported from an off-shore Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG), Floating Storage and Regasification Unit (FRSU).

Ghana 1000 marks an important step towards providing a reliable, future gas and power supply for Ghana’s industries and households. Ghana 1000 will be a transformational project for the Ghanaian power market and economy, as it will add much needed generation capacity and diversify the country’s current fuel mix through secure, lower-cost LNG supply.

An integral part of the project will be the importation of LNG to use as a dedicated fuel source for the project. Sage Petroleum will provide the management and logistics for the importation and storage of the LNG to power the plants and other users within the enclave.
